Many people have asked about a dispaly or presentation case for a slide rule. This very nice, wood case with a glass top/front and lockable brass catches is being offered as a sevice item to slide rule purchasers.

The case, which measures 18 x 6 x 2 inches, has a rigid foam insert. The slide rule can rest on top of this insert, and the case will close nicely, as in the pictures. Or the buyer may cut the insert so that the rule fits into it snugly. Also, the buyer can add some picture hangers to the bottom/back of the case to use it as a wall display.

The most famous K+E slide rule, the one most used by U.S. engineers in the middle 1900's. Most U.S. airplanes and space craft of the period were designed using this rule.

The packaging and some of the paper work, though new, may have some soiling from storage, but the rule and case are fine. This was the final version of the very popular, K+E 4081-1 (marked 68 1261), 5 inch rule, new in box with leather, pocket-clip case. Scales: LL01, L, K, A [B, T, SRT, S] D, DI, LL1 and, on the other side, LL02, LL03, DF [CF, CIF, CI, C] D, LL3, LL2. White plastic. Orange/tan leather case with a pocket clip. New in presentation box. Some very slight storage soiling on the box, but everything is new.

This is the plastic version of the Log Log Duplex Decitrig, the most famous K+E slide rule.(Original model number 4181-3)

A more sophisticated insturment for today's advanced mathematical and engineering problems. This rule was made in the K+E Salisbury plastics plant, as were many of the other later K+E rules.

The new-in-box set includes the 10 inch Deci-Lon rule, an orange leather case, the 186 page hard-cover manual, and some smaller papers. The box and some of the paper contents may show some aging from long storage, but the rule and case are fine. The exact type of orange leather case varies.
